 Too many high schoolsSeptember 2, 2010What else,,, high schools! Yes! 3 high schools. I spent the last 2 days looking at High school designs, What do I know about designing a high school?
NOTHING!
So I went and learned. I saw how kids congregate in the open and hidden spaces, I watched them move through lunch lines. Go to gym class, I saw how the performing art centers work. I spoke to administrators about flow and function for the different buildings and types, science, math, English and so on.
II saw that there were as many different ways to teach and set up a classroom as there were teachers.
We are on our way to designing and building Castaic High School
